The Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR – Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) is an important route for international doctors to gain entry into the specialist register in the UK. For many doctors trained outside the UK, it offers an alternative way to secure a specialist position within the NHS.
